ASL Marine's Attributable Profit Surges 441% in Fiscal H2; Shares Surge Nearly 29%

ASL Marine's (SGX:A04) attributable profit to owners surged 441% during the fiscal second half ended June 30 to SG$13.1 million from SG$2.4 million a year earlier, according to a Friday filing with the Singapore Exchange.
Shares of the company soared nearly 29% in Friday trading.
Earnings per share rose to SG$0.0133 compared with SG$0.0035 in the comparable period.
Revenue was up 4.3% year over year to SG$177.9 million from SG$170.6 million.
The company declared a first and final dividend of SG$0.002 per share for the period, payable by Oct. 29.
