Consumer Nicotine Preferences Will Change But Demand Will Persist -- Market Talk

1309 ET - The nicotine industry has followed consumers to the smoke-free market in developing tobacco heating, e-vape and nicotine pouch products, says Philip Morris CEO Jacek Olczak at a Barclays conference. The specific preferences of consumers may look different five to 10 years from now, but they'll still want to consume nicotine. "The common denominator is people want to continue inhaled products but with a different risk profile, and adults want to enjoy the oral nicotine. And whether this is a pouch or anything else, this is the territory in which we'll play. So, there will be a lot of innovations," Olczak says. (nicholas.miller@wsj.com)
