China Reinsurance's Profit Jumps 9% in H1; Shares Slip 5%

China Reinsurance (HKG:1508) saw a 9% rise in attributable profit in the first half of 2025 to 6.24 billion yuan from 5.73 billion yuan in the year-ago period, an Aug. 29 filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.

Shares of the reinsurer were down nearly 5% in Monday afternoon trading.

Earnings per share rose to 0.15 yuan from 0.13 yuan in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Operating income for the half year rose 0.6% to 61 billion yuan from 60.7 billion yuan a year prior.
