0613 GMT - Kuaishou is set to maintain strong earnings growth in 2H, thanks in part to its AI platform Kling, Nomura analysts say. The short-video app operator sounds upbeat on Kling's position as a leader in the video-generation tool space, and Nomura thinks it has scope to hold its ground as competition rises. Kling has a first-mover advantage and has grown subscribers via word of mouth without incurring big marketing costs, Nomura's Jialong Shi and Rachel Guo write. Kling's AI revenue topped CNY250 million in 2Q and Kuaishou has guided for an annual figure of CNY900 million. It also aims to expand Kling AI into game development and film & TV production, and has a major upgrade in the works. Nomura maintains a HK$90 price target and a buy rating on the stock.
