European Airlines Shares Fall on Jet2 Winter Guidance Update -- Market Talk

0844 GMT - European airline shares are down after London-listed holiday company Jet2 said it expects a key profit metric to be at the lower end of guidance, and cut seat capacity due to late booking trends. Shares in budget airline easyJet are down 3.8% and leading the FTSE 100 index fallers, while British Airways owner IAG's shares are 1.2% lower. Ryanair and Lufthansa shares are down 3% and 1.8%, respectively, while Jet2 shares are trading down 14%. (aimee.look@wsj.com)
