0855 ET - Investors are grappling with Marvell Technology's second consecutive quarter of disappointing results and guidance, Benchmark analyst Cody Acree says in a research note. In the near-term, the semiconductor company will likely continue to struggle with destocking and increasing competition, according to Acree, who doesn't see a growth catalyst arriving until at least the next earnings report. Despite these upcoming challenges, though, he says Marvell's long-term outlook remains strong. The company is likely in a multi-year growth phase, "driven by the significant diversification of its design-win and project engagement pipeline across a growing list of sizable customers," Acree writes. Shares tumble 14% premarket. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
