BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) Ltd. has released its interim financial results for the first half of 2025. The company reported a profit for the period of HK$22.796 billion, showing an increase from HK$20.463 billion in the second half of 2024 and HK$18.655 billion in the first half of 2024. The Return on Average Shareholders' Equity $(ROE)$ for the first half of 2025 was 12.92%, up from 10.94% in the second half of 2024 and 12.39% in the first half of 2024. Similarly, the Return on Average Total Assets (ROA) improved to 1.05% from 0.91% in the previous period. Basic Earnings Per Share $(EPS)$ for the period was HK$1.8954, an increase from HK$1.7208 in the first half of 2024 and HK$1.4190 in the second half of 2024. The Dividend Per Share (DPS) was HK$0.5800, slightly up from HK$0.5700 in the first half of 2024. In terms of business segment performance, the Treasury segment saw significant growth, contributing HK$10.042 billion to profit before taxation, compared to HK$6.920 billion in the same period of the previous year. Meanwhile, Corporate Banking's contribution decreased to HK$6.699 billion from HK$8.557 billion. BOC Hong Kong continues to focus on internationalization, enhancing its regional management in Southeast Asia, and promoting sustainable development in line with its environmental, social, and governance $(ESG)$ principles. The company also accelerated its digital transformation and improved data governance while enhancing its comprehensive risk management system.
