Gateway Mining Identifies Potential Gold Mineralization From Historical Drill Samples at Western Australia Gold Project, Shares Jump 4%

Gateway Mining (ASX:GML) said geochemistry analysis on over 600 historic drill hole samples from the Yandal gold project in Western Australia, collected in July, identified the two characteristics for gold mineralization, which map to the recently identified Mustang Shear structures, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

Limited historic drilling over at the Mustang Shear structure identified anomalous gold mineralization, but it failed to test the primary target structure.

Gateway will begin a 25,000-meter air core drilling program around mid-October, testing part of the Mustang shear as well as its intersection with the Celia shear.

The firm's shares rose 4% in recent trading on Friday.
