NIO shares in Hong Kong had risen 18% to HK$54, marking a new high since October 8, 2024.This brings NIO's stock price increase over the three trading days since the new-generation ES8 debuted on August 21 to about 40%.Since July, NIO has risen by about 90% in Hong Kong, with the launch of the flagship SUV L90 from its sub-brand Onvo sparking the first wave of optimism.NIO debuted the third-generation ES8 on August 21 and began pre-sales for the large SUV.NIO shares also jumped in Singapore and US overnight trading.The updated ES8 comes standard with a 100-kWh battery pack, with a
