Spindex Industries Swings to Loss in Fiscal H2; Shares Down 8%

Spindex Industries (SGX:564) swung to a loss of SG$129,000 during the fiscal second half ended June 30, from a profit of SG$9.2 million a year earlier, according to a Wednesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Shares of the company were down nearly 8% in Thursday trading.

Loss per share came in at SG$0.0011 compared with earnings per share of SG$0.0799 in the comparable period.

Revenue dropped 3.7% year over year to SG$88.7 million from SG$92.1 million.

The company recommended a final cash dividend of SG$0.02 per share for the period, down from SG$0.027 a year earlier. The dividend will be paid on Nov. 18.
