** Stock second-biggest pct loser on Hang Seng Finance Index .HSNF
** Shanghai-listed stock 601318.SS eases 1% to 59.90 yuan, lowest since August 22
** Co posts 8.8% y/y drop in H1 net profit, hurt by sluggish investment returns, weaker earnings of its banking unit amid slowing economy
** YTD, HK stock gains 22.8%, Shanghai shares up 14.4%
