PetroChina (SHA:601857, HKG:0857) saw a 5.4% decline in attributable profit in the first half of 2025 to 84 billion yuan from 88.8 billion yuan in the year-ago period, a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.
Earnings per share stood at 0.46 yuan in the interim period, down from 0.49 yuan in the corresponding period of the last year.
The petroleum company's revenue fell 6.7% to 1.45 trillion yuan in the half year from 1.555 trillion yuan a year prior.
The lower revenue was due to lower prices of the firm's crude oil and refined oil products, as well as changes in the sales volume of oil and gas products.
The firm declared an interim dividend of 0.22 yuan per share for the period, payable around Oct. 23 to shareholders of record on Sept. 16.
