0909 GMT - Electronics materials manufacturer Kingboard Laminates looks set to gain from its likely entry into U.S. chip maker Nvidia's upstream supply chain this year, Citi analysts say. While Kingboard's 1H core earnings missed expectations, Citi keeps its 2026-2027 earnings forecast for the company mostly unchanged, Eric Lau and Alice Cai write. Higher selling prices will likely boost margins in 2H, and capacity is set to grow next year. Revenue and profit are tipped to rise, and the company has started to ramp up development of AI-related fabric. Citi raises the stock's target price to HK$20.50 from HK$14.00 and names Kingboard as its top pick in the China copper clad laminate supply chain. Kingboard last up 8% at HK$13.29.
