Enbridge Inc. has entered into a new partnership with WhiteWater, MPLX LP, and ONEOK, Inc. through the Matterhorn joint venture to move forward with the construction of the Eiger Express Pipeline. This collaboration will see the pipeline transport growing natural gas production from the Permian Basin to the Gulf Coast region. The Eiger Express Pipeline, expected to be operational by mid-2028, will be constructed and operated by WhiteWater. The Matterhorn JV, which includes a 70% stake in the Eiger Express Pipeline, is owned by WhiteWater (65%), ONEOK (15%), MPLX (10%), and Enbridge (10%). This venture will facilitate the transportation of up to 2.5 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas through a 450-mile pipeline, connecting the Permian Basin to the Katy area and direct LNG export markets.
