Yadea Earnings to Keep Growing After 1H Beat -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Aug 26

0609 GMT - Citi analysts maintain an upside catalyst watch on Yadea after 1H earnings beat expectations. The maker of two-wheeler vehicles posted a 60% on year rise in profit, topping both street and Citi estimates. Revenue grew 33%, while cost-cuts and better economies of scale boosted margins, write Kyle Wu and Jeff Chung. "We view this set of results as decent, with improved profitability driven by strong revenue growth," they say. Citi has a HK$22.50 target price on Yadea stock. Its quant model assigns a high-risk rating based on price volatility in the past 12 months, but the analysts believe that's not warranted given their expectations for better quality earnings growth. Yadea was last down 1.3% at HK$12.49. (fabiana.negrinochoa@wsj.com)
