Financial stocks were advancing premarket Friday, with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) up 0.4%.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was 1% higher and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was down 0.7%.
Blackstone (BX) is set to win the bidding for Warehouse REIT after rival bidder Tritax BigBox REIT said in a filing Friday that it will not raise its offer for the company and that its offer is final. Blackstone stock was 0.7% higher pre-bell.
LendingTree (TREE) shares were up more than 1% after the company said it has closed a $475 million credit facility consisting of a $400 million five-year term loan B and a $75 million revolving credit facility.
JPMorgan Chase (JPM) will pay the Malaysian government 1.4 billion Malaysian ringgit ($330 million) as part of a deal to settle matters related to its role in the scandal at state fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad, according to news outlets, citing a statement by both parties. JPMorgan Chase shares were up 0.5% premarket.
