Walmart's Growth Trajectory Intact Despite Near-Term Noise -- Market Talk

1221 ET - Walmart's 2Q results show the company remains poised for strong growth, even amid near-term noise from higher claims, Raymond James analysts say in a note. The core drivers of Walmart's growth trajectory are intact and accelerating, the analysts say, pointing to comparable sales above expectations and continued strength in advertising, membership growth and e-commerce. Improving general merchandise trends and a solid back-to-school selling season should also provide a boost, they say. "Each of these aspects continues to give us confidence in Walmart's value proposition and opportunity for growth as we move through 2H26 and into the upcoming holiday selling season," they say.(kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
