EXCLUSIVE-Colin Kaepernick documentary series will not air on ESPN, network says

LOS ANGELES, Aug 16 (Reuters) - Spike Lee's documentary series about former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who sparked controversy by kneeling during the National Anthem, will not air on ESPN, the Walt Disney DIS.N-owned network and the filmmaker told Reuters.

"ESPN, Colin Kaepernick and Spike Lee have collectively decided to no longer proceed with this project as a result of certain creative differences," ESPN said in a statement provided to Reuters on Saturday.
