AIG names Hallworth as chief digital officer

By Ashish Tiwari

Aug 18 - (The Insurer) - American International Group on Monday said Scott Hallworth would join the insurer as chief digital officer on September 1, overseeing its digital, data and generative AI strategy.

Hallworth has held senior roles at Hewlett Packard, Capital One and Travelers. He would initially report to Claude Wade, AIG’s current chief digital officer and global head of business operations and claims, the company said.

Wade will step down at year-end for health reasons and transition to an advisory role, after which Hallworth will report directly to AIG Chief Executive Officer Peter Zaffino.

Zaffino said Hallworth’s three-decades of experience in technology, banking and insurance made him “exceptionally well-qualified” to lead AIG’s digital transformation.
