DouYu International Holdings Ltd., a prominent game-centric live streaming platform in China, has announced its financial results for the second quarter ending June 30, 2025. The company reported total net revenues of RMB1.0539 billion (US$147.1 million), marking a 2.1% increase from RMB1.032 billion in the same period of 2024. Gross profit surged by 68.5% to RMB141.9 million (US$19.8 million), compared to RMB84.2 million in the previous year. The company achieved a net income of RMB37.8 million (US$5.3 million) in the second quarter of 2025, compared to a net loss of RMB49.2 million in the same period of 2024. Adjusted net income (non-GAAP) was RMB25.3 million (US$3.5 million), a significant turnaround from an adjusted net loss of RMB45.5 million in the same period last year. DouYu attributed its return to profitability to effective cost efficiency initiatives and a focus on revenue diversification. Revenues from innovative businesses, advertising, and others grew to RMB476.1 million, accounting for 45.2% of total revenue, up from 23.4% the previous year. Looking ahead, DouYu plans to continue enhancing user experience and optimizing cost efficiency while navigating evolving macro conditions.
