Monash IVF Group (ASX:MVF) said that an independent review by Fiona McLeod into the Brisbane and Clayton clinic incidents was completed and the review report will not be released publicly to protect the privacy of the affected patients, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The review concluded that the Brisbane incident was the result of human error, while the Clayton incident resulted from a range of factors that included human error at multiple stages and IT system limitations in the very limited circumstances of an embryo transfer to a partner.
Both cases involved non-standard in vitro fertilization treatments and circumstances that would not arise in the vast majority of IVF procedures, the filing said.
It implemented many of the review's recommendations, per the filing.
Its shares rose 1% in recent trading.
