Southwest Gas Seeks Approval to Bring Renewable Natural Gas to California

Southwest Gas (SWX) said Monday it has submitted an agreement to the California Public Utilities Commission that would bring renewable natural gas from food and wastewater to its California customers.
The company said the procurement agreement with Anew Climate and Anaergia subsidiary SoCal Biomethane will fulfill regulatory requirements requiring gas utilities to procure biomethane to help reduce methane emissions.
