Resolution Minerals (ASX:RML) began the first phase of its drilling program at the Horse Heaven gold-antimony-tungsten project in Idaho, involving 3,000 meters of diamond core drilling on nine holes with an average target depth of 300 meters per hole, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The program seeks to confirm historic shallow drilling at Golden Gate, test mineralization at depth and along strike, as well as to assay for antimony and tungsten.

The firm plans to begin environmental baseline surveys to support the filing of a new plan of operation to conduct drilling activities with a larger footprint at Horse Heaven.

The firm's shares soared 24% in recent trading on Tuesday.
