Multiple Hong Kong insurers, including AIA (HKG:1299) and China Taiping Insurance (HKG:0966), joined the Hong Kong Insurance Authority in signing a pledge to promote artificial intelligence across the region, the South China Morning Post reported Monday.
AXA, HSBC's (HKG:0005) HSBC Life, FWD (HKG:1828), Prudential (HKG:2378), and YF Life were also part of the regulator's pledge which calls on the firms to share their AI experiences with peers, the report said.
Each of the seven insurers agreed to establish and staff an AI center in the city to promote the adoption of the technology.
