Scholar Education's Attributable Profit Slides 24% in H1

Scholar Education (HKG:1769) attributable profit fell 24% to 62.9 million yuan in the first half from 82.7 million yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Earnings per share at the education company declined 24% to 0.1118 yuan from 0.1476 yuan in the prior-year period.
Revenue increased 10% to 439.4 million yuan from 399.1 million yuan in the year-ago period.
Shares closed 4% lower during Wednesday's trading.
