SICC Co. (HKG:2631) said it was delaying its initial public offering due to bad weather in Hong Kong, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Thursday.

Hong Kong issued a black rainstorm warning signal earlier on Thursday as very heavy rain disrupted operations in the city and caused flooding in several areas, the South China Morning Post reported.

The semiconductor material company, focused on the R&D of SiC substrates, now expects to price its IPO of 47,745,700 shares on Aug. 18, as opposed to Aug. 15.

Allocation results will be disclosed a day later than planned, on Aug. 19, while the company's trading debut will also be delayed to Aug. 20.
