0347 GMT - Although Pony AI's Gen-7 robotaxi would reach breakeven at the unit level by year-end, it is unlikely to be able to propel the overall robotaxi fleet to a better margin profile until 2026, Daiwa analyst Evelyn Zhang writes in a note. The company has continuously improved its operational efficiency, resulting in a decline in its cost per kilometers to CNY2.5 in 2Q for its Gen-5 and Gen-6 robotaxis. The insurer also lowered the company's insurance premium by 18% on year in 2Q based on its assessment of accident rates, they say. Daiwa maintains buy rating for the stock at target price of $20.00. Shares last closed at $15.15. (jiahui.huang@wsj.com; @ivy_jiahuihuang)
