SouthGobi Resources Loss Widens in Q2; Shares Lose 2%

SouthGobi Resources (HKG:1878) posted a net loss attributable to equity holders of $22.8 million for the quarter ended June 30, compared with a loss of $2.1 million a year earlier, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.

Shares of the mining firm were down nearly 2% in Friday morning trade.

Loss per share came in at $0.077, compared with a loss of $0.007 last year.

Revenue rose to $155.3 million from $92.8 million a year earlier.
