Multiple injuries have been reported after an explosion at a U.S. Steel plant in Pennsylvania, authorities said Monday.
Gov. Josh Shapiro said state officials were responding to Clairton Coke Works in Clairton, Pa., roughly 15 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Footage from local media appeared to show pillars of smoke rising from the site of a major blast.
"Please join Lori and me in praying for the Clairton community," Shapiro said in a post on X.
