Tangshan Jidong Cement (SHE:000401) directors plan to rename the company to BBMG Jidong Cement, according to a Saturday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.
Shares rose nearly 1% during afternoon trading on Monday.
The name change reflects Beijing BBMG Jidong Cement Group's 44.34% direct shareholding in the cement manufacturer.
BBMG Jidong has also become a common abbreviation, and BBMG (HKG:2009, SHA:601992) has allowed for the use of its name, the filing said.
