Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Returns to Profit in H1

Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong (HKG:0215) reported a profit attributable to shareholders of HK$6 million for the six months ended June 30, reversing a loss of HK$12 million a year earlier, according to an Aug. 8 Hong Kong bourse filing.

Shares of the telecommunications service provider were down nearly 2% in Monday morning trade.

Earnings per share stood at HK$0.0012 compared with a loss of HK$0.0025 per share in the prior-year period.

Total revenue increased 8% to HK$2.22 billion, compared with HK$2.06 billion a year earlier.

The group declared an interim dividend of HK$0.0228 per share, unchanged from last year.
