iDreamSky Issues Over 38 Million Shares to Settle Royalty Fees

iDreamSky Technology (HKG:1119) said it completed the sale of 38.09 million new shares at HK$1.024 each to PLR Worldwide Sales to offset $5 million in royalty fees owed by its Shenzhen affiliate, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Shares of the game developer fell nearly 2% in recent Tuesday trade.
The subscription represents 2.11% of the company's enlarged share capital.
PLR, a subsidiary of Playrix Holdings and developer of games including Gardenscapes, became a strategic shareholder through the capitalization.
iDreamSky previously said the move helps conserve cash while strengthening ties with upstream developers.
No cash proceeds were raised from the transaction.
