Sector Update: Financial Stocks Rise Pre-Bell Monday

Financial stocks were rising pre-bell Monday, with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) up 0.2%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was 0.7% higher and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was down 0.7%.

Western Union (WU) has agreed to acquire International Money Express (IMXI), or Intermex, in an all-cash deal worth about $500 million, the companies said. Shares of International Money Express were up more than 64% premarket.

Mastercard (MA) said it is partnering with IFZA and Global Tax Assistant to launch a digital, artificial intelligence-driven business registration journey in the UAE. Mastercard shares were 0.01% lower pre-bell.

Morgan Stanley (MS) will help South Korean artificial intelligence chip designer DeepX with a new capital raising round ahead of a potential initial public offering in 2027, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Morgan Stanley stock was 0.06% higher premarket.
