** It lifts 2026 adjusted EBITDA midpoint forecast to about $6.8 billion, excluding contributions from the seven natural gas plants it acquired in May
** VST expects to add more than 600 megawatts of nuclear generation by mid-2030 to support rising electricity needs, particularly from data centers and AI-related industrial growth
** However, company posts lower Q2 profit on higher operating and interest costs
** VST posts Q2 net income of $327 million compared with $467 million, a year ago
