0822 GMT - Diageo provides improving earnings visibility amid a challenging industry environment, UBS analysts write in a research note. The U.K. distiller's outlook is ahead of expectations, while the scale of its cost-savings ambition is greater than expected, they add. For fiscal 2026, the company targets organic sales growth at a similar level to fiscal 2025. It also expects organic operating profit growth in the mid-single digits. Whilst visibility in the spirits industry remains low, Diageo is focusing on what it can control, the analysts say. This should give investors better earnings visibility and support the share price, they add. Shares trade 6.5% higher. (andrea.figueras@wsj.com)
