Financial stocks were higher in Wednesday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index rising 0.5% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) adding 0.4%.
The Philadelphia Housing Index was up 0.2%, while the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) eased 0.2%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was increasing 1.8% to $115,376, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries rose 4.3 basis points to 4.24%.
In corporate news, Payoneer Global (PAYO) provided an upbeat full-year revenue outlook Wednesday amid easing tariff concerns, while the digital payments company reported mixed Q2 results. Its shares jumped nearly 12%.
Banco Santander's (SAN) proposed acquisition of UK-based bank TSB has received approval from Banco Sabadell shareholders, Sabadell said Wednesday. Santander shares climbed 2%.
TPG (TPG) shares popped 5.2% after it reported a narrowed Q2 net loss as revenue increased during the period. TPG also raised its quarterly dividend.
Carlyle (CG) stock gained 4.1% after it posted higher Q2 after-tax distributable earnings and total revenue.
