Hainan Drinda New Energy Technology (SHE:002865, HKG:2865) said Lu Xuyang was elected as chairman of the company's board, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Thursday.
Shares of the photovoltaic cell manufacturer rose nearly 2% in recent Friday trade on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Lu replaces Lu Xiaohong who previously resigned as chairperson.
