HSBC's (HKG:0005) full-time headcount in Hong Kong declined by around 5% year over year as of June 30, according to the bank's interim report Wednesday.
The company had 33,144 full-time employees at the end of June, compared to 34,836 employees in the year-ago period.
Meanwhile, the company's staff in the UK were numbered at 31,511, up from 30,653 employees a year prior.
