Mars, which announced a $35.9 billion deal to acquire Kellanova (K) in August 2024, said Tuesday that it will invest $2 billion to expand its US-based manufacturing facilities by the end of 2026.
The latest investment will support a $240 million facility for Nature's Bakery in Salt Lake City, Utah, due to open Wednesday. The facility will create more than 230 jobs and will have the ability to produce nearly one billion bars each year, Mars said.
The company said it has invested more than $6 billion in US manufacturing over the past five years.
