CHICAGO, July 24 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn and soybeans ticked lower in the U.S. Midwest on Thursday.
The corn basis fell at an elevator, three river terminals and two ethanol plants.
The soy basis fell at an elevator, a processor and two river terminals.
Industry players are keeping a close eye on weather, which is expected to be beneficial for corn and soy crops in a key development period.
Reduced global demand for U.S. commodities and expectations for a bumper corn and soy crop are weighing on demand.
CBOT December corn futures CZ25 were last up 1-1/4 cents to $4.18-1/2 a bushel as of midday.
CBOT new-crop November soybeans SX25 were last down 1-3/4 cents to $10.21 a bushel.
