Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc. $(HII)$ has secured a $74 million task order to develop advanced modeling and simulation capabilities for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. As part of a five-year initiative, HII's Mission Technologies division will support the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory's Space Vehicles Directorate in creating simulations that enable space units to train from wartime locations. This work, conducted at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico, also involves developing decision aid software for space command and control organizations. Awarded under the U.S. Department of Defense's Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract vehicle, the project aims to enhance the readiness and survivability of U.S. space assets.
