1047 ET - Solar energy companies such as Enphase expected demand for solar panels to pick up in the months before a key residential solar tax credit expires at the end of this year. But as of now, that demand is yet to materialize, say Susquehanna analysts Charles Minervino and Eric Clay. Increasing sales this year is key because after the tax credit expires, demand will likely plummet. Enphase expects that in 2026, after the tax credit expires, the company's total addressable market will shrink 20% with installations dropping from about 4.5 gigawatts to about 3.5 gigawatts nationwide, the analysts say. Enphase slides 13% after it said it expects lower 3Q revenue. (nicholas.miller@wsj.com)
