Microsoft (MSFT) has hired around two dozen Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) Google DeepMind employees in recent months to strengthen its artificial intelligence division, led by former DeepMind co-founder Mustafa Suleyman, CNBC reported Tuesday, citing an unnamed person familiar with the matter.
Amar Subramanya and Adam Sadovsky, two longtime Google and DeepMind veterans have joined Microsoft AI as corporate vice presidents, alongside former DeepMind engineers like Sonal Gupta and Jonas Rothfuss, as the company builds out its consumer-oriented AI team behind Copilot assistant and Bing search engine, the report said.
