Taseko Mines Limited has announced significant progress on its Florence Copper project in Arizona, with construction of the commercial production facility over 90% complete. The project is on track for its first copper cathode production by the end of this year. With over 900,000 hours worked without any injuries or environmental incidents, the site is being prepared for operational readiness. The Florence Copper project is poised to become a major U.S. supplier of copper cathode, amid rising copper prices due to potential tariffs on imports. The site recently completed a key milestone with the energization of a 69kV electrical substation, and commissioning activities are set to begin soon.
