Enbridge to Commit $900 Million Toward 600MW Texas Solar Project

Enbridge will invest around $900 million to develop the 600-megawatt solar project in Texas which will supply energy to tech giant Meta Platforms' data center facilities.

The Calgary, Alberta-based pipeline and energy company on Tuesday said it has reached the final decision to invest the new money toward the Clear Fork, located near San Antonio.

Behind the decision was tech giant Meta Platforms' signing of a long-term contract for all of the renewable output of from the project which will supply its data center operations.

Construction has already begun, Enbridge said, and the facility is expected to be operational and in service during the summer of 2027.
