DWS Group said its Chief Investment Officer Vincenzo Vedda will join its executive board on Aug. 1.

The asset-management arm of Deutsche Bank on Monday said that Vedda, who has been the group's chief investment strategist since late last year, will be responsible for DWS's liquid assets business once the appointment is effective.

The executive has been working on bringing together areas of portfolio management, the chief investment office and economic research since assuming the role in November.

Vedda joined DWS in 2013 and has held roles in both the global trading and wholesale businesses as well as heading active and passive portfolio management teams. Prior to joining the asset manager, Vedda worked for Morgan Stanley and DZ Bank.
