American Airlines (AAL) has dropped its legal challenge against the city of Chicago over the reassignment of a gate space at O'Hare International Airport, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing a court filing.
The airline sued Chicago in May over the gate decisions that are part of an alleged long-term plan by competitor United Airlines (UAL) to force it out of the airport, according to the report.
American Airlines did not explain its decision to drop the legal challenge in the court filing, although there is a stipulation that it can sue again in the future, Bloomberg reported.
The airline did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
