Update: BHP Group's Copper Production Rises 2% in Fiscal Q4; Shares Up 3%

BHP Group (ASX:BHP) reported copper production of 516,200 tonnes in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025, up 2% year on year and 1% sequentially, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

Iron ore output was 70.3 million tonnes, up 2% from a year earlier and 14% from the fiscal third quarter, the filing said.

In fiscal 2025, the company produced 2 million tonnes of copper and 263 million tonnes of iron ore, up 8% and 1%, respectively, from a year earlier.

For fiscal 2026, BHP said it expects copper production in the range of 1.8 million to 2 million tonnes and iron ore output of 258 million to 269 million tonnes, the filing added.

Shares of the company rose nearly 3% in recent Friday trade.
