NZX Midday Sector Update: Non-Energy Minerals Stocks Advance, Consumer Durables Decline

The non-energy minerals sector advanced 2% at midday Friday. On Wall Street, the Nasdaq Composite index closed up 0.74%, while the S&P 500 rose 0.54%, both reaching record highs.

Shares of Chatham Rock Phosphate (NZE:CRP) jumped nearly 5% in recent trade.

Meanwhile, the consumer durables sector fell almost 2%.

KMD Brands (NZE:KMD, ASX:KMD) shares also fell nearly 2% in recent trading.
