Zillow Group Opposes Compass' Request to Display Listings in Antitrust Case

Zillow Group (Z, ZG) filed a legal response Thursday in Manhattan federal court opposing Compass' (COMP) request for a temporary restraining order that would require Zillow to resume displaying certain "office exclusive" property listings on its platform while their antitrust case proceeds.

Compass has claimed that Zillow's refusal to display the listings is anticompetitive. In its response, Zillow said Compass encourages agents to withhold listings from public platforms by initially limiting them to internal distribution, a practice it argues undermines transparency and harms consumers.

Zillow argued that its platform policies are designed to promote open and equal access to housing information.

Shares of Zillow Group were up 1.5% in recent trading.
